Description

The Continental Terrain Contact H/T tires are highway all-season light truck tires designed by Continental for 2WD and 4WD, light and medium-duty vans, trucks and pickups, as well as crossover and sport utility vehicles. The Terrain Contact H/T blends a pleasant, comfortable stable drive feel with long tread life and versatile service on dry, wet or light snow-covered roads.
Continental has specifically engineered the Terrain Contact H/T to match the performance capabilities and car like drive feel of today’s SUV’s. A specialized tread compound that is able to perform and remain flexible at a wide range of temperatures is used to mold the tread pattern. The tread pattern has a continuous central rib that stays in constant contact with the road, and in conjunction with fine venting and lateral grooves this offers precise steering response, a stable drive quality and low tire noise. The presence of four wide circumnavigating grooves along the tire evacuate water from under the tread for increased traction and a resistance to hydroplaning on wet on slushy roads for enhanced stability and control in stormy weather. A staggered tread pattern and self-cleaning grooves provide snow and mud traction for on and to some extent off road use.
These Continental Terrain Contact H/T tires are usually fitted as Original Equipment on vans, trucks and SUV’s and bought as direct replacements for worn out pairs of original equipment tires. They can also be fitted on other vehicles provided they meet the speed rating, performance category and specifications of the current OE tires fitted on them.
